Thumbish Plan mode is a paid-plan workflow for developing a video concept, title, hook and visual direction in conversation. Use it when the creative angle is still open, then move to Design mode when you are ready to produce artwork.
Make the decision before spending time on artwork
Generating more images does not necessarily clarify an unclear premise. Start by stating who the video is for and what question it answers. Identify the moment or object that makes that question visible.
Plan mode gives you a place to discuss that direction. You can use your script and references to keep the conversation grounded in the material you actually have. The result is a proposed creative direction that still needs your judgment.
Give the title and image different jobs
The title can explain context, a constraint or a question that the image cannot communicate on its own. The thumbnail can make the subject or contrast recognizable. Read the pair together and remove repetition that takes up valuable space.
If a headline appears inside the image, check whether it adds information. A text-free version may be appropriate when the visible subject already communicates the idea. Exact wording is a creative choice, not a universal formula.
Use constraints to guide the direction
Describe the assets you can use, the visual tone of the channel and any details that must remain accurate. Include exclusions when a familiar visual trope would mislead your audience.
Separate non-negotiable constraints from preferences. A required product model is different from a preferred background color. This distinction makes the review conversation more useful and helps you notice when a concept solves the wrong problem.
Move from planning to Design mode
When you have a direction you want to pursue, use Design mode to prepare the artwork concept and approve generation. Recheck the final subject and composition before approving. Do not treat planning text as a guarantee of the image output.
